These beautiful, natural fibre “Bilums” (Meaning “womb” in the local “Tok Pisin” Language) are meticulously handcrafted, using traditional weaving methods, by woman in the highlands of Papua New Guinea.

They were traditionally used to carry anything from firewood and vegetables, to piglets and babies and were once adorned with feathers, shells and other decorations. Today they are also a stunning accessory that you can take anywhere. They come in various shapes, sizes and colours. No two of these beautiful pieces are exactly alike.
